I) Does Cardwell deliver fuel and lubes? Feedback
YES. We deliver fuel and lubes from most of our locations to your place of business, farm, industrial site, job site, or retail outlet.

I.A) How much notice do I need to get fuel delivered? Feedback
We would prefer to have 24 hours notice but we do the best we can to provide quick customer service to all our customers.

II) What refiners can you get fuel from? Feedback
We can provide fuels from Sinclair, Tesoro, Chevron, Conoco, Flying J, Silver Eagle, Holly (66), World Fuels, Wyoming Refining, & Fordom.

III) What types of fuel does Cardwell sell? Feedback
We carry a full line of fuels, most of which are available at the pumps:
*Unleaded, Plus and Premium Gasolines
*Clear On Road Diesel (Ultra Low Sulfur)
*Red dyed off road diesel, both #1 & #2.
*Bio Diesel blends from B1 to B-100. (Specific blends are available at the pump at all our Utah cardlock locations.)
*Kerosene (Available at the pump at our Midvale and Brigham City cardlock locations.)
*Solvent (Available at the pump at our Midvale cardlock location.)

III.A) Can I use Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel in vehicles older than 2007? Feedback
Yes, you can use ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) in pre-2007 vehicles. You cannot use any diesel but ULSD in vehicles with 2007 engines. If you have a 2007 vehicle consult your dealer to confirm that the vehicle has a 2007 engine that requires ULSD. Our on-road diesel products are all ULSD.

IV) Do you sell Winter Diesel? Feedback
YES. During the winter months (October 15 through April 15) we are proud to supply Sinclair Premium Diesel to those who need added protection from the winter cold. We also carry Innospec (Octell Starreon) winter fuel additives in bulk or in retail package. We winterize all of our diesel fuel products at our pumps, as is the business standard.

V) Do we have a lubrication specialist? Feedback
YES. Joe Phillips is our resident technical services manager. He can answer any of your lubrication questions. Our sales representatives (inside and outside sales) have training and are able to answer many of your questions, too.

VI) What brands of lube oils does Cardwell carry? Feedback
We are National Distributors for Shell Lubricants. We carry a full line of Shell brands for all your industrial needs, as well as anti-freeze and fuel additives. We have customer pick-up or delivery options available.

VII) Do we sell and deliver Bio Diesel? Feedback
YES. We sell Red Hawk Bio Diesel at the pump at three locations: Midvale, Delta, & Brigham City (available 24/7 with major credit cards). We also deliver Bio Diesel from all our locations. Call for blend rates from B100 to B1 Dyed and Clear for off and on road use.

VII.A) Can I mix Bio-Diesel with regular diesel in my vehicle? Feedback
Yes. If you have regular diesel in you tank you can mix it with Red Hawk Bio Diesel. If are somewhere where you cannot buy Bio Diesel, you can put in regular diesel; it is acceptable to switch back and forth.

VII.B) Will my vehicle smell like French Fries if I use Bio Diesel? Feedback
Our Red Hawk Bio Diesel is made of virgin oils and is not recycled yellow fry grease. The odor of our Bio Diesel is not like regular diesel fuel; it is more like cooking oil that you may have in your home. It is much better for the air we breathe and will help reduce our dependence on imports from countries that are not friendly to the United States.

VII.C) Where is our Bio-Diesel made? Feedback
Our Soy or Canola Bio Diesel is made by a company in Denver, Colorado. They produce only ASTM certified product. We bring their finished product into Salt Lake where we blend it with diesel fuel and ship it to our customers and our retail locations.

VII.D) What is our Bio-diesel made from? Feedback
We only use Soy or Canola oil. It is virgin oil and not recycled yellow grease.

VIII) Do I have to modify my diesel to use Bio-Diesel? Feedback
NO. However Bio Diesel does clean out fuel tanks, lines, pumps, and injectors because it is highly detergent. It may clog fuel filters if you have an older diesel or if you have not changed your fuel filter on a regular basis.
It should also be noted that Bio-Diesel at blends above B20 (20%) should not be used when you are expected to be in tempatures less than 45 degrees F.

IX) What fleet fueling options do you offer? Feedback
We offer both CFN and Wright Express for your fleet fueling needs.

Wright Express (or WEX) is the premier fueling card for the convenience and flexibility. It is the major credit card for fueling, and has customized security and reporting capabilities for business control and accountability.

X) Can I get an account with Cardwell or Hutchinson? Feedback
You can apply for a bulk fuel, bulk oil, fleet card CFN or Wright Express using the applications found on this website.

X.A) How often do we bill our customers? Feedback
The Wright Express card is invoiced every 30 days. Payments are due within 30 days.
Bulk fuel and lube purchases are invoiced daily. Payments are due within 10 days for bulk fuel and 30 days for lubes.

XI) Who owns Cardwell and where are they from? Feedback
The company is owed by the two sons in law of Lowell Cardwell, the original founder of the company 43 years ago. Bill Rawson is the President and Tom Leiter is the Vice President. Both are from Utah
